I was recently hospitalized with a sever blood infection that almost took
my life. While recovering from it, my Doc has placed me on light to no duty until further notice. This doesn not necessarily
mean that the below production time statement won't ring true, it's just another reason for expressing the importance
of it. 5/2/09
During the month of June I was away a total of 2 weeks due to a family
emergency. I apologize for the delays that it caused. I want to assure you that I am doing the very best that I can under
these trying circumstances and will do everything possible to get orders out as soon as I possibly can. 7/3/09
During
the past 2 weeks I have been back downstate taking care of things for my mom as she has had a couple of surgeries with the
last being today. If all goes well I will be able to return home sometime next week. Once back home I will be working on kits
again. I can only apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding during these trying times. 7/28/09
Production times for making kits and getting them out are generalized. With the responsibilities of running
a horse farm, it is sometimes extremely difficult to get things done in the shop when I think they will be done. One of the
big reasons that I usually use wording like "should" or "Barring any further problems" when answering
an inquiry concerning order status.
While under normal circumstances, kits usually take from 2-3 weeks, seems
lately nothing seems to be normal. Things like medical emergencies, my dad's passing and the server crash (twice) and
subsequent server change for our forum, mare's foaling and one of the foals needing to be put down due to a genetic complication
which I wasn't informed of when I purchased the mare, have greatly put me behind in my shop work.
I feel it
necessary to change my policy on how I handle inquiries pertaining to order updates and delivery times.
Seems that
the above circumstances were not enough to satisfy a few of my customers as to why their kit hasn't been completed and
shipped as yet.
In the future, I won't make any guestimizations as to when a kit will be completed or when
it will ship unless it is done and in my hand. I will stop using the "should" and "barring any further problems"
when answering inquiries. I will simply state that I'm working on it and that no-one will be left behind or forgotten.
I hate to do that, but it's gotten to the point where it has become necessary.
I will say this much, which
will hopefully ease anyone's mind.
I will not forget you and will get your kit done and out as soon as I possibly
can. I will do my best to commuicate to those wishing it, that I have received your order and that's it's in the works.
I would suggest also, that customers wait at least 4 weeks before contacting me concerning an order
update after initial order confirmation has been made.
Orders can take somewhere
between 3 weeks and 3 months to complete, so please be patient.
It never ceases to amaze me that those waiting
for a complete rifle build (that takes a few hours to complete) for a year or
more, have difficulties in waiting 3 months for a custom made product.
Your patience is appreciated!
