Hawk:
Thanks, the kit looks nice!
The only challenge I had was that I had
to remove a lot of metal on the connector arm to fit the wider op rod rail on my receiver. I had to remove it from all around
the front lug including the inside surfaces and the outside surface of the tab that goes below the lug. It wanted to pitch
outward when it was pinched between the stock and the rail. On another early Armscorp receiver it dropped right in with
almost no mods.
Thanks again,
Cass

Got the ambi kit installed yesterday, went with the button. This is a great kit and really completes
the rifle. Wasn't too bad to install, just took planning and patience. The connector arm just catches the op rod as the
op rod hits the piston. The spacer put the button at the perfect height.
I have to give credit to SEND-IT/MARINES84-88
for inspiring me to make the plunge as well as his advice for installing it. I was hesitant since I wasn't sure about
the difficulty or the added weight, but it's definitely one of those things where the ends justify the means. It was well
worth the effort to install it.

I got my FDS Button kit today.I installed it on my Sage EBR Mod1 Drilled and tapped the stock.
Fit like a glove. I drilled and tapped it.My heart was in my throat.it went ok no hicups. I also added some 3/8 this foam
rubber to the riser. We get it in at work.looks just like cheek ezz.I used one as a template. Now I am ready for the range.

I have Hawk's kits on 9 of my M14 type rifles. No problems at all. His newest kits ,that the
selector switch turns on, are the cats meow. Yes they are USGI parts, so they add to the appearance of the weapon. USGI stock
without one, looks like a house without a door to me.

Thanks Hawk,
She came out great! It was so easy to put together although I did
need my circular sander to grind down part of the Selector Arm on the inside where the Op Rod Spring Guide Pin was and there
was a 1/4 inch raise portion of the selector arm along the inside in the middle of the arm that I had to grind down as well.
3 treatments of Oxpho Blue and some CLP later and vioalla! She's ready for the range!
Many thanks! All that took me about an hour and a half of which
45 minutes was the cold bluing.
Cheers,
Chris

Hawk, I finally got around to putting the FDS-Std. (button) on my LRB
and it looks great! It looks so good I'd like to order another FDS-Std button kit and an FDS-BR.
Once I put the kit
on I realized my rifle had been missing something quite authentic. Now it looks and feels virtually identical to the M14
with walnut stock that I was made to sleep with at Edson Range in the summer of 1969.

(10/22/2011)

Received the kit and have installed. If I did not know
better would think it was a permanent part of the weapon. Thank you.

"easy to install and they look great!" They have fooled some people into thinking
I had M14s.
One guy was Army in the 60's. He thought it was a M14 up until I pulled the action out of
the stock and showed him it wasn't.

My M1a is unfired by me, no doubt Springfield sent a couple downrange
to test function. I am a big fan of tiger striped wood, when I got the opertunity to buy this stock I jumped at it with
a force equal to that of recoil produced at the wallet. After receiving the stock and finding out it had the cut out
for the selector I was tempted to mortgage the house and buy an M14 auto. This stock was probably never installed on a rifle
but I like to think it was on a presentation grade or something like that. After searching the web and asking lots of
questions about the best way to 'fill in the gap' as it were, I ended up with the kit installed. No modifications
were needed to mount it but as for function I'll comment on that if I ever fire this rifle. Rob., South Florida

Hawk,
The last kit you sent me worked so well I bought another
stock and want it to look as awesome as the first.
The first kit went on a Walnut stock and now I've just finished
re-finishing a Birch stock. It came out far beyond my wildest expectations.
So, with that being said, it has to
have that authentic M14 look.
Please send me a PayPal invoice for one (1) FDS-AMBI-KIT.
Thank you Sir
and Semper Fi!
Respectfully,
Hector D., Fredericksburg, VA GySgt USMC/Ret.

Wow, that was fast! Both the response and shipping!!!!!
Thanks!
I have ordered so many of these kits from you over the years. I have quite a few semi M14s
and your kits make all the difference in the world, in terms of making them look right!
Point is, I appreciate your
work! thanks!!! Ray P., Arlington, GA

Every rifle that I have that has a selector cutout will have a Hawk's Dummy
Selector kit installed. The stocks that do not have a cutout will just have to live without one...
Why do I have a dummy selector kit? Because it makes the stocks with the cutout look complete and
"I LIKE THE LOOK"!
Aloha Folks!

"Hey Hawk, I got the package Saturday. I had to "trim" some and
fit the "rig", and I knew I would have to, and it looks great. I mean, it looks great. Makes my other resin thing
look stupid. Now I gotta have another one, for the other rifle." B.S., Champaign, IL

If you are looking to reproduce the look of an M-14, this is the only way to go.
Hawk Dummy kits completes the look of any M14. It also is a great way to keep dirt and F.O.D. out of the action. I wouldn't
think of having a G.I. stock with an open selector cut. G.E.M.
